Oregano Spring 2020
Oregano, meaning "Joy of The Mountain" in Ancient Greek, is a flowering plant within the mint family. It's commonly used as a culinary herb in Italian, Greek, and Spanish cuisine. Oregano also naturally creates the chemical carvacrol, a natural insect repellent. Oregano thrives with full sun, making it perfect to be a windowsill herb. It also needs well-draining soil and regular watering, it is important to allow the soil the oregano is in to dry slightly before watering it again.
